So, when we heard that Ronnie Wood, one fourth of the legendary rock ‘n’ roll band and visual artist buchholz-net , collaborated on a scarf with LILOGI under the same moniker as the Stones’ classic, we were thoroughly intrigued.Wood met LILOGI founder Nicole Feix earlier this year while touring in Canada, and the pair decided to band together by transferring one of his artwork pieces onto a scarf. The two decided upon the rocker’s “Wild Horses” imagery as the majestic animals have become one of Wood’s signature motifs—from panting his bandmates with horses in the backdrop to sketching stallions on his farm in Ireland.”I fell in love with the painting instantly and knew that it would work incredibly well for a scarf,” Feix told ELLE.com. “I thought the colors were spectacular, but my love of horses also came into play. She knew of my interest in fabric design from an earlier project I was involved in and the collaboration grew from there. My love of horses came to the fore and we both felt “Wild Horses” would make a classic, yet totally contemporary scarf.You and the boys wear scarves all the time on and off stage. It’s essentially a signature. What do you love about scarves? From my point of view scarves for both men and women are a timeless way to individualize your look. I wouldn’t exactly call them signature pieces for musicians, but everyone from Hendrix onwards seems to love to see them on stage.Let’s talk about “Wild Horses” as a song. While horses have always been significant in your artwork, what part does the song play?”Wild Horses,” although one of the most famous Stones songs was not especially my inspiration with this piece. I have always painted horses since childhood and even at school as a small child, other kids would ask me to draw horses for them. I now own and race my own horses and I suppose I do feel a special affinity for them.You’ve said that art and music are equally important passions to you. How does fashion play into them?Fashion is fun and a pleasure for me. It’s another way of expressing my personality.You and the boys just announced you’ll be heading to Australia to tour. Will you wear the Wild Horses scarf on the road and on stage?The scarf is brilliant, and I look forward to wearing it on the road.
